⚠️ Note: CWS Fuel Boat does not provide emergency or on-demand refueling outside of scheduled route days.

CWS Fuel Boat is operated in full compliance with NFPA 30 and NFPA 30A, including the rule that all passengers must disembark during fueling — a standard most marinas do not meet.

Our vessel has been fully reviewed and approved by:

• The Michigan State Fire Marshal’s Office

• The International Code Council (ICC)

• The Michigan DNR

Each review covered engineering, electrical systems, fuel dispensing technology, and safety compliance.

CWS Fuel Boat operates with strict attention to safety and environmental protection:

• ⚓ Speed Limit: Governed to 7 knots maximum for safe shoreline operation.

• ⚓ Anchoring: Deploys multiple spud anchors from a double-walled stainless-steel hull before fueling.

• ⚓ Scheduling: Operates only during daylight hours and avoids peak traffic times on all lakes.

• ⚓ Fueling Standards: Member boats must be moored or on a lift, per USCG Code of Federal Regulations.

• ⚓ Transportation: The vessel and its operators are fully compliant with DOT HAZMAT Transport Regulations.

To prevent cross-lake contamination, each Fuel Boat is equipped with onboard sanitary and freshwater systems to wash the hull between launches.

Becoming a CWS Fuel Boat Member is simple:

1. Apply – Oakland County residents can apply via email at FuelBoat@CWS-mi.com.
    
2. Schedule – Request refueling via text or email on your assigned route day.
    
3. Fuel Delivery – Our crew arrives, anchors, and safely refuels your boat.
    
4. Billing – You’re charged securely via credit card after service.

💡 Note: CWS Fuel Boat conducts no “on-water sales.”
All transactions occur online just like other shoreline services — including pier installation, lift maintenance, or weed cutting.
Only the fuel delivery takes place on the water.
